Over the course of Module 1, there are multiple pauses in the curriculum called Pivot weeks. No new work will be assigned in a Pivot week. This is an opportunity to reflect on the direction of your idea.
Have you learned something challenging from your customer conversations that has made you doubt the strength of your problem, the definition of your audience niche or the uniqueness of your solution? If so, you can use pivot weeks to iterate your idea or even pivot to something entirely new.
Pivot weeks are not intended as breaks or holidays, if you’re on the right track then you should deepen your customer discovery or development work. If you’re losing confidence, then consider a pivot.
Reminder!
Remember pivoting to something entirely new is not a failure, it is an expected step towards figuring out what customers really want. Every founder needs to pivot at some stage, most of us multiple times, but these decisions are vitally important, so make sure you're aligned with your mentor before taking that step.
