As AI tools become more widely used in professional settings, we want to clarify how and when they can be used in our program.
AI transcribing tools are software applications that use artificial intelligence to automatically record, transcribe, and summarize conversations in real time. Common examples include Otter.ai, Fireflies, Sembly, and Grain.
To balance founder support with group safety and confidentiality, we have specific rules around when these tools can be used:
Not Allowed: Squad Sessions
AI transcribing tools are not allowed during squad sessions.
These are collaborative, peer-based discussions where openness and trust are key. Transcribing these sessions can undermine group dynamics and may capture sensitive information from other founders without their consent.
Please note these sessions are recorded and you can rewatch them at anytime
Allowed: 1:1 Mentor Sessions
Founders may use AI-powered transcribing tools during their one-to-one mentor sessions.
If you choose to use one, please:
- Get consent from your mentor before adding it in.
- Ensure the transcript is for your personal use only.
- Do not share transcripts externally without permission.
